Placing Your Order
How do I place an order?
The easiest way to place an order is online right here. If you need something a little more custom, have questions, or are unsure about anything please feel free to fill out our contact form here or call us at 219-301-2808 between 8:00am and 7:00pm CST.
Does the price include set up and delivery?
Yes, although additional fees may apply for areas outside of our included delivery area. We always set up and tear down the tents and tent-related items like side walls, lights, etc. We will place any tables, chairs, or other party items under the tent or in another safe location. You will be responsible for setting up and tearing down the tables & chairs. We can set up & tear down tables and chairs for an additional fee. Prices do not include sales tax.
What payments do you take?
Cash or Credit Cards. If paying by cash, please have exact change as our drivers do not carry cash. We also accept credit & debit card payments on site if necessary. Sorry, no personal checks will be accepted without prior approval. We accept checks from our corporate customers only.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes all orders require a 20% Non-Refundable Credit Card deposit. The amount of that deposit will be deducted from the cost of the rental. We will not accept cash as a form of deposit. We must have a current credit card on file.
What if we need to cancel?
You can cancel your order at any time until we set up. If you cancel at least 14 days out you will be given a rain-check which is good for 6 months. If you cancel less than 14 days before the event you will forfeit your deposit.
Do you deliver to other cities?
Yes, we can deliver to almost anywhere in the Midwest region. However, it may be in your best interest to ask us for a recommendation of a rental company closer to you. Please call our office for a current quote or recommendation.
When do you deliver or set up?
That depends on our delivery schedule and your flexibility. We will always try to work around your schedule. If your event is on a Saturday we will likely set up tents as early as Thursday or Friday. Since your event may run well into the night we sometimes take down equipment as late as Monday or Tuesday. This is also dependent on the weather as we can't take down wet tents.
General Rental Questions
What if I would like to rent something that I don't see listed?
Please call us! We are always adding new items to our inventory and will work with you to create the solution you're looking for. If we don't carry it we may be able to point you in the right direction as well.
How long is the rental time?
Our typical rental is 24 hours. Unless specified in the rental agreement, we typically set up at least one day prior to your event and take down the day after your event. That way you can decorate knowing everything is in it's place. You are not charged for any extra time the tent is set up outside of your rental agreement. However, you ARE responsible for all the equipment while it is in your possession. If you're event is in a park or other public area which requires us to set up and take down the same day we will need to be notified at time of booking. A "Time Sensitive / Same Day" fee is often added.
What about parks? Do parks have electricity?
We love setting up at parks and our installations typically do not require the use of electricity. If you want to have lights, music, DJ, or have other needs for electricity, we do rent generators up to 14,000 watts at a reasonable cost. Some parks are first come, first serve so get your spot early in the day. Also, setting up in parks mean we have to work more around your schedule. We will need to both set up and tear down on the same day of your event. Therefore we do charge a park fee with all park / public place locations. Also, some parks require you to get a permit. The park management may also require we supply a certificate of insurance and / or a surety bond. This requires at least a 24 hour notice as each certificate must come directly from our insurance company. Surety bonds take up to 2 weeks and cost an additional fee.
We've rented some really dirty equipment from other companies in the past. What can I expect from your company?
All of our equipment should be clean when you get it. Illiana Party Rentals cleans and inspects all our equipment regularly to insure a quality rental experience.
How big are the tents?
We offer tents in many different sizes. They start at 10ft X 10ft and can go all the way up to 60ft X 120ft. We offer tents in several different categories such as traditional frame / keder tents, high peak cross-cable tents, and tension style pole tents. Each tent on our site has a complete and thorough description to help you decide which tent is best for your needs.
What surfaces do you set up on?
We typically set up on grass. We can set up on just about any surface. If we have to set up on a hard surface like concrete or asphalt we will have to either drill into the surface to install stakes or we can provide water barrels or concrete blocks as weight. Both of these installation types require additional work and will therefore carry an additional fee. Please note that tension style pole tents must be staked into the ground.
NOTE: Illiana Party Rentals is required by law to notify 811 / JULIE to locate utilities at least 48 hours prior to your tent installation. We typically call in the utility locate 5 days prior to installation. They will mark your yard with flags and spray paint. Do not remove any markings left by any of the 811 contractors. If we arrive and the utilities are not clearly marked we can not install your tent.
Are we responsible if any rental equipment gets damaged in any way?
Yes and no. You are not responsible for normal wear and tear on our equipment. If damage occurs due to failure to follow our safety rules or negligence you will be responsible for all damages up to and including replacement of the equipment which can cost thousands of dollars. We don't want you or us to be in that situation which is why we have you sign and initial on all of our safety rules.
